“When a person opens a book, he can never be in prison.”
“So... Which of you is managing the Instagram account?” This is a question we are sometimes asked by our readers. After all, there are two of us running Aval House. The answer is, simply, “Both of us.” However, we both play different parts.
We have made our preliminary visit to our local garden centre, @apacheseeds, and have purchased the basic seeds for our garden: beans, carrots, and peas (though it appears our flower budget was somewhat greater than that of our vegetables...).
To be honest, our photography skills are somewhat shabby. Here‘s to the approaching improvement of our technique! Many thanks to Darrell Young (@masteryournikon) and his excellent book, Beyond Point-and-Shoot.
What is a literary garden? It is a garden filled with flowers and plants taken from, or inspired by, works of literature. The result is a garden like unto a story itself, with each plant being a line from a different book or journey.
Aval House is excited to announce the ongoing project of creating a small book of old Christian prayers! When it is finished, we intend to self-publish it and make it available for sale on our Etsy shop.
