A sneak peek at the art cards

As announced last week, Elise and I are designing art cards that correspond with three pieces which will be sung by Ariose Women’s Choir at their concert on May 7th.  I have been singing in Ariose for nearly two years now, and have often been inspired by the touching lyrics of the pieces we sing.  Our upcoming May concert offered the perfect opportunity to put this inspiration into action.  I have painted three pieces that illustrate three lines of poetry from the songs we will be singing.  We dropped these off at our local print shop yesterday and they will be for sale on our Etsy shop on Monday!

For now, enjoy some pictures of the paintings and the poetry that inspired them.  There is a button below each section that will take you to a recording of the musical setting of the poetry that Ariose will be singing at the concert.
