6th century Irish hymn

Be Thou my Vision is a Christian hymn written by an Irish monk in the 6th century. The poem was written in Old Irish, from which it was later translated into modern English. In keeping with our medieval philosophy and love of ancient things, we have taken the English words of this hymn and surrounded them with the original Old Irish text, written in silver. The Old Irish text is not immediatly apparent, but visible to the attentive viewer and sparkly enough to catch the sunlight. The vine leaves are also true to typical medieval illumination.
P.S. We value accuracy! If you see any errors in the Old Irish text above, please let us know.
NOTE: This hymn has several verses. If you would like a different verse (or part of a different verse) printed with the corresponding Old Irish text, we are delighted to work with you! Simply contact us.
