Product Launch: Illuminated Quote by J.R.R. Tolkien

True education is a kind of never ending story–a matter of continual beginnings, of habitual fresh starts, of persistent newness.
J.R.R. Tolkien

Ah…Bookish things… This quote is the first of its kind in our House, but there are more to come!

Even the distinguished Oxford professor and author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings understood that regardless of how vast Man’s knowledge is, learning is always a life-long journey.

This quote has been illuminated in a manner often used during the Middle Ages:  a period when no manuscript was left untouched by colour.  The border surrounding the text is royal blue, and the sides are entwined with dark green vines.  The bottom section features a large tree presiding over a field of flowers, and two children in medieval garb sit reading with their backs to the outside edge.  The top section features an open book in the center, surrounded by vines.  In the top right- and left-hand corners are drawn a sun, moon, and stars.

Customization is available to a degree for this product.  If you would like different colours used for the border, children’s clothes, etc., just contact us!  We will give you our other colour options and work with you to create a scheme you like.  Unfortunately, we cannot alter the overall design, or the quotation itself.

P.S. If the reader knows where J.R.R. Tolkien wrote this quote, the owners would be much obliged if the reader contacted them!
